Sofwave Ultrasound Skin Tightening
Sofwave™ is a non-invasive skin rejuvenation treatment that uses controlled ultrasound energy to stimulate the body’s natural collagen-remodeling response.
The ultrasound energy is delivered at a precise depth within the mid-dermis, creating controlled thermal zones while integrated cooling technology helps protect the skin’s surface. This process stimulates a healing response that supports new collagen and can gradually improve the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles and mild skin laxity.
At View Laser in Delta and Tsawwassen, Sofwave™ treatments are customized based on your skin, anatomy and individual treatment goals.
Sofwave™ may be used to improve the appearance of:

Common treatment areas include the face, jawline, beneath the chin and neck. Treatment areas are determined following an individual assessment.
Sofwave™ uses proprietary Synchronous Ultrasound Parallel Beam (SUPERB™) technology to deliver controlled ultrasound energy into the mid-dermis.
The energy generates heat at a targeted depth within the tissue, creating controlled thermal zones that initiate the body’s natural healing response and stimulate collagen remodeling.
Sofwave’s integrated Sofcool™ cooling technology helps protect the skin’s surface during treatment.
Unlike treatments that use needles or remove the skin’s surface, Sofwave™ delivers ultrasound energy non-invasively through the intact skin.
A treatment session typically takes approximately 30-60 minutes, depending on the areas being treated. Comfort measures may be used during the procedure, and your treatment settings are customized according to your skin and treatment area.
Improvements may begin to become visible following treatment and can continue to develop over approximately three months as collagen remodeling progresses.
Before treatment, let your provider know about your medical history, medications, supplements, active skin conditions, recent aesthetic procedures and any implanted medical devices.
Avoid arriving with irritated, inflamed or sunburned skin. Your provider will let you know if any skincare products or treatments should be temporarily discontinued before your appointment.
Additional preparation instructions may be provided based on your individual treatment plan.
Little post-treatment care is generally required following Sofwave™.
Temporary redness, warmth, tenderness or swelling may occur and typically resolves with time.
Use gentle skincare if your skin feels sensitive and protect treated areas from excessive sun exposure. Follow the skincare and sun-protection recommendations provided by View Laser.
Unless otherwise advised by your provider, most patients can return to their regular activities following treatment.
