Dermal Fillers

Dermal fillers and biostimulatory injectables can be used to restore or add volume, enhance facial contours, soften the appearance of certain lines and folds, and support changes in skin structure and quality over time. Treatment options at View Laser include hyaluronic acid (HA) fillers, as well as biostimulatory treatments such as Sculptra® and Radiesse®, which work differently by stimulating the body’s own collagen production.

View Laser also offers HArmonyCa®, a hybrid injectable that combines hyaluronic acid with calcium hydroxylapatite (CaHA), providing the volumizing properties of HA alongside biostimulatory effects.

At View Laser in Delta and Tsawwassen, Dr. Martin Ray selects the appropriate injectable or combination of treatments, following an individualized assessment of facial anatomy, volume, skin quality and treatment goals.

  • COST

Starting at $500 per syringe. The cost of dermal filler treatment depends on the product selected, areas treated and amount of product required. Your treatment plan and associated costs will be reviewed during your consultation with Dr. Ray. Not covered by MSP.

  • RECOVERY

Minimal downtime is common. Temporary swelling, bruising, redness, tenderness or firmness can occur around injection sites. The degree and duration of these effects vary depending on the treatment area, product used and individual.

  • NUMBER OF TREATMENTS

Many dermal filler treatments can be performed in a single appointment, while some treatment plans may be completed gradually over multiple sessions. Results are not permanent, and maintenance treatments may be recommended over time. Timing varies depending on the product, treatment area and individual.

Depending on the product selected and individual assessment, dermal fillers may be used to address:

  • Facial volume loss
  • Cheek and mid-face volume
  • Lips and lip definition
  • Chin and jawline contours
  • Certain facial lines and folds
  • Under-eye or tear trough concerns
  • Changes in facial proportions associated with aging

The appropriate product, placement and amount are determined individually based on your anatomy, concerns and treatment goals.

Dermal filler treatment begins with a detailed assessment of your facial anatomy, proportions, movement and areas of volume change. Dr. Ray will discuss your goals and determine whether filler is appropriate, as well as the product, amount and placement suited to your treatment plan.

Depending on the area being treated, filler may be carefully placed using a fine needle, cannula or a combination of techniques.

Rather than treating individual lines in isolation, Dr. Ray considers the relationship between different areas of the face to create a treatment plan that respects your existing features and facial proportions.

Results from many hyaluronic acid fillers are visible immediately, although swelling immediately following treatment can temporarily affect their appearance. The final result is assessed after the area has had time to settle.

Before your dermal filler appointment, let Dr. Ray know about your medical history, medications and supplements, allergies, previous injectable treatments and any recent dental work or medical procedures. Mention if you have a history of cold sores, bleeding concerns, or if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

Treatment may need to be postponed if there is active inflammation, infection or another skin concern in the treatment area. Dr. Ray will provide personalized instructions based on your assessment.

Temporary swelling, bruising, redness and tenderness can occur following dermal filler treatment. Avoid rubbing, pressing or massaging the treated area unless specifically instructed to do so.

Follow the personalized aftercare instructions provided by Dr. Ray, including recommendations regarding exercise, heat, alcohol, skincare and other treatments following your appointment.

Contact View Laser promptly if you experience unexpected or worsening symptoms following treatment.
