Depending on your skin and treatment goals, your provider may recommend incorporating an advanced booster into your Dp4™ treatment.
VAMP
A regenerative skin solution containing PDRN, hyaluronic acid, amino acids, vitamins and minerals. VAMP may be incorporated when hydration, skin texture and overall skin revitalization are treatment priorities.
NCTF
A skin-revitalizing formulation containing hyaluronic acid alongside a complex of additional ingredients. NCTF may be selected to support hydration and overall skin quality as part of a customized treatment plan.
AQ Recovery Serum
A professional growth-factor-based serum designed for use alongside aesthetic skin procedures. AQ may be incorporated into a microneedling treatment when supporting recovery and overall skin rejuvenation is a priority.
PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma)
PRP is prepared from a sample of your own blood and contains concentrated platelets with naturally occurring growth factors involved in tissue repair. PRP may be combined with microneedling as part of an individualized approach to skin rejuvenation, texture or certain acne scars.
Your provider will recommend whether a booster is appropriate and which option best suits your skin and treatment goals.
Dp4™ medical-grade microneedling may help improve the appearance of:
- Fine lines and wrinkles
- Atrophic acne scars
- Uneven or rough skin texture
- Enlarged-looking pores
- Signs of photoaging
- Certain scars
- Overall skin quality and firmness
Common treatment areas include the face and neck, with other areas considered following an individual skin assessment.
The DermapenWorld Dp4™ uses 16 ultra-fine needles to create up to 1,920 controlled microchannels per second. Needle depth can be precisely adjusted throughout treatment, allowing your provider to customize the procedure for different areas and skin concerns.
Unlike treatments that remove the skin’s surface, microneedling creates controlled microscopic injuries that initiate the body’s natural wound-healing response. This process supports the production and remodeling of collagen and elastin over time.
As the skin repairs itself in the weeks and months following treatment, gradual improvements may be seen in texture, firmness, fine lines and certain types of scarring.
Before treatment, let your provider know about medications, supplements, prescription skincare, active skin conditions, recent procedures, history of cold sores, abnormal scarring or pigmentation changes.
Avoid significant sun exposure and tanning before your appointment. Retinoids, exfoliating acids and certain other active skincare products may need to be temporarily discontinued.
Treatment should generally be postponed over active infection, open wounds or significantly inflamed skin. Additional preparation may be recommended when PRP or another treatment enhancement is incorporated.
Treat your skin gently following microneedling and use only the post-treatment products recommended by your provider.
Temporarily avoid retinoids, exfoliating acids and other potentially irritating active ingredients. Makeup, strenuous exercise, swimming, saunas and excessive heat may also need to be avoided during the initial recovery period.
Do not pick, rub or aggressively exfoliate the treated skin. Protect your skin from sun exposure and use broad-spectrum sunscreen as directed.
Your provider will give you individualized aftercare instructions based on your treatment depth and whether VAMP, NCTF, AQ or PRP was incorporated.
Individual results vary. Medical-grade microneedling carries potential risks including redness, swelling, irritation, infection, pigmentation changes and scarring. Treatment suitability, depth and the use of adjunctive products are determined following an individual assessment at View Laser Skin Rejuvenation, 1443 View Crescent, Delta, BC V4L 2K2. Cosmetic treatments are not covered by MSP. 604-943-9399.
