Acne Treatments

Acne is a common skin condition that can appear as blackheads, whiteheads, inflamed pimples, deeper lesions, or a combination of these. At View Laser in Delta and Tsawwassen, acne treatments are selected based on your skin, the type of acne present, and whether the concern is active breakouts, congestion, inflammation, or acne scarring.

Treatment options may include HydraFacial, red light therapy, microneedling, and a personalized medical-grade skincare program.

  • COST

Starting at $225. Treatment cost varies depending on the treatment or combination of treatments recommended. Your options and associated costs will be reviewed during your consultation.

  • RECOVERY

Downtime varies by treatment. HydraFacial and red light therapy typically require little to no downtime. Microneedling commonly causes temporary redness and sensitivity following treatment.

  • NUMBER OF TREATMENTS

Acne treatment is individualized and often requires a series of treatments alongside consistent home skincare. The number and frequency of appointments will depend on the type and severity of your acne, your skin, and the treatments recommended.

Treatment may be recommended for concerns including:

  • Blackheads and whiteheads
  • Congested or oily skin
  • Mild to moderate breakouts
  • Inflammatory acne
  • Uneven skin texture
  • Post-acne marks
  • Acne scarring

The appropriate treatment depends on whether acne is currently active or the primary concern is residual texture or scarring.

Acne does not have a single cause or a one-size-fits-all treatment. Excess oil production, the buildup of dead skin cells within pores, inflammation, hormonal influences, and Cutibacterium acnes bacteria can all play a role.

At View Laser, your skin is assessed to determine which approach is appropriate for your individual concerns.

HydraFacial combines cleansing, exfoliation and extraction to help remove surface buildup, excess oil and debris from congested pores.

Red light therapy uses specific wavelengths of light as a non-invasive treatment option that may be incorporated into an acne-focused skin program, particularly when inflammation is a concern.

Microneedling creates controlled micro-injuries that stimulate the skin’s natural repair and collagen-remodelling response. It may be recommended once active acne is appropriately controlled to help improve the appearance of certain types of acne scarring and uneven texture.

Medical-grade home skincare may also be recommended to support your in-clinic treatment plan and ongoing skin health.

Pre-treatment instructions depend on the treatment recommended. Let the View Laser team know about medications, prescription or topical acne products, recent procedures, and any changes in your health. Certain active skincare ingredients may need to be temporarily discontinued before treatment.

Personal instructions will be provided based on your skin and treatment plan.

Aftercare varies by treatment. In general, use gentle skincare, avoid picking or manipulating active breakouts, and protect your skin with daily broad-spectrum sunscreen. Following microneedling or other treatments that temporarily increase skin sensitivity, additional instructions regarding exercise, heat, sun exposure and active skincare ingredients may be provided.

Follow the personalized aftercare instructions given to you by the View Laser team.

Individual results vary. This cosmetic treatment is provided following a personal assessment with Dr. Martin Ray, at View Laser Skin Rejuvenation, 1443 View Crescent, Delta, BC V4L 2K2. 604-943-9399.
