HAIR LOSS
Hair loss is multifactorial and requires a comprehensive treatment plan. While male pattern baldness is genetic and hormonal, patches of hair loss, or alopecia areata, is often related to stress. Hair loss affects both men and women. This can be a devastating problem and a challenge to treat.
Hair loss and thinning can be treated with medications to decrease the hormone testosterone, or with cortisone injections and platelet-rich plasma (PRP). Treatments are most effective when patients have experienced recent hair loss.
