FINE LINES & WRINKLES
Fine lines and wrinkles result from multiple factors, including bone loss, facial volume loss, and skin deterioration. Genetics, hormonal changes, stress, smoking, and environmental exposure all also affect the skin.
As we age, we lose collagen and our skin becomes thinner and less elastic. Changes in the bony structure of the skull and the loss of fat pads decreases the structural support of the face. Years of repeated muscle contraction combine with these factors to create both dynamic and static wrinkles. These lines and wrinkles may create an undesired tired, angry, sad, older, or saggy appearance — even when your facial muscles are at rest.
Affected areas:
Face, forehead, frown lines (vertical glabellar lines between brows or “angry 11s”), temples, brow, tear troughs (eye bags), crow’s feet, cheeks, nasolabial folds, marionette lines, ear lobes, lips, jawline, mouth, barcode lines, nose, chin, neck, and hands.
